There is a new stormwater charge being levied for properties in the City of Mississauga. This will appear on Region of Peel water bills, beginning in 2016. This charge will apply to non-residential, single and multi-residential properties.

Property owners will be charged based on the amount of impervious hard surface area (paving + roof) on their properties. For more information on this new charge, please go to this .

If upon using the calculator, you have determined that your non-residential property’s stormwater charge does not accurately reflect the hard surfaces on your property, then you may request a review of your assessment via . As per the City of Mississauga’s website:

"Please note, the most current assessment for the property will apply and a review may not result in a lower charge. Requests received before September 30, 2015 will be processed before charges come into effect. Requests received between September 30, 2015 and September 30, 2016 will be retroactively applied to January 1, 2016."
